Taylor & Nick

A Romantic Late Fall Wedding at the Hutton House in Minnetonka, Minnesota

From the very beginning, Taylor and Nick were one of the most relaxed couples I’ve ever worked with. They trusted their incredible planner to focus on the details while they simply enjoyed every moment of their wedding day together. Their calm energy made the entire celebration feel effortless and full of genuine joy.

The couple had a vision for their late fall Minnesota wedding, and they were secretly hoping the weather might deliver a little snow to make the day feel even more magical. And Minnesota did not disappoint—just a light dusting of snow fell during the day, adding the perfect seasonal touch to their celebration.

The day began with an emotional first look filled with tears, laughter, and big hugs. These moments before the ceremony are always some of my favorites to photograph—when the couple can pause together before the excitement of the day unfolds. And of course, their dog made a special appearance, which made the moment even more meaningful and fun.

Every detail of the wedding was thoughtfully designed, especially the floral arrangements, which were absolutely stunning. From the bouquets to the reception décor, the florals added softness and elegance to the modern architecture that makes the Hutton House such a sought-after Minnetonka wedding venue.

One of the most meaningful parts of Taylor and Nick’s wedding day was their Catholic ceremony, centered around the faith they share and the foundation they want for their future marriage. It was a beautiful reflection of their values and the life they’re building together.

The reception that followed was just as memorable. Not only was the room beautifully styled, but the dinner was easily one of the most delicious wedding meals I’ve ever had from Fork and Flair; something guests were still talking about long after the plates were cleared.

As the evening continued, Taylor and Nick shared incredibly emotional first dances with their parents, creating moments that were both heartfelt and unforgettable. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

And then the party truly began.

Taylor surprised everyone with a dress change into a fun party outfit and shoes, ready to celebrate the rest of the night on the dance floor. The energy in the room completely shifted as guests joined them for an unforgettable celebration.

Of course, we couldn’t end the night without taking advantage of one of my favorite features of the Hutton House—the stunning outdoor space. With the venue’s beautiful exterior lighting and a touch of fresh snow on the ground, we captured some incredible nighttime flash portraits outside, creating dramatic images that perfectly wrapped up such an amazing wedding day.

Taylor and Nick’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that when a couple focuses on what truly matters—faith, family, and celebrating together—the entire day becomes unforgettable.

Some wedding days are full of energy and excitement, while others carry a peaceful, joyful calm—and Taylor and Nick’s beautiful late fall wedding at The Hutton House was the perfect blend of both.
